Sign-ins are encrypted on your Mac
Your product account, Douyin accounts and library key are encrypted with keys protected by the macOS Keychain. If storage is temporarily unavailable, existing credentials are kept and never fall back to plain text.

Use a password just for this account
Account passwords are stored as salted hashes, never in plain text. Use a unique password and keep it in a password manager. Passwords can be 6 to 128 characters.

Keep sign-in details to yourself
Don't share passwords or verification codes. Log out after using a shared device, and remove account details before sending screenshots.
